Ar-cheetah?!

Have you ever felt this way? You know knowing the value of something only after you have lost it. They are precious regrets.

I say this because remember how Cheetahs were extinct from our country since the 1952s? Yeah, well! They are back and for good this time. I am grateful to the "Cheetah Capital of the World" (Namibia) for allowing the translocation of the spotted cats across the south-Atlantic ocean and then the Indian Ocean, to our Kuno National Park, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Since my name is 'Ár-Cheetah' let me draw some parallels over here. Cheetah, they say is not built for strength, but for speed. They are not built for marathons, they use short bursts of energy and sprint. They ought to catch their prey in 30 seconds or less as they cannot maintain maximum speed for much longer.

My journey in my early twenties seems somewhat similar to this. I have small bursts of energy when I can do the maximum. I always believe every day is similar and I can do it like this. Then I lose momentum. The rate at which I regain that speed is five times lesser than the rate at which I work to my full potential.

So, I was given a solution, to lower my expectations, that way energy expense is less and what I produce is more. Eventually, there are a lot of positive signals in my brain and I am capable again!

Do you know what I realized while experimenting with this? The more I control my brain to release happy serotonin in my brain, the more positive thoughts connected to each other, and I became powerful! The inner confidence gave me a new outer confidence.

You see, the funny part is you are not always making independent decisions. You would think that you are in control. But most of the time, the adult reflexes are only a response to the stimuli. You are only reacting. How wonderful it would be if you can make independent decisions every time you confront a situation!

That is why I wish cheetahs can be my spirit animal. They exude speed, fast action, and achievement. All these needs flexibility, patience, groundedness, determination, and adaptability.

"Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way".

A cheetah has an enlarged heart and lungs which is symbolic of a big capacity for expansion. India can also expand by expressing itself. What is stopping India from having more Indian outlets worldwide like McDonald's? Isn't food also part of smart diplomacy?

I also read about how India isn't part of any regional multilateral trade grouping. It is time! While shedding colonial legacies, we can also move forward toward our goals and aspirations of becoming a $5 trillion dollar economy by 2026. It is when we are part of such regional supply chains that it forces positive changes, like the development of the major/minor ports.

Side note to myself:

So what I will lose is my 'time'. My time, that I could have spent disciplining myself to concentrate like the cheetah who waits for its prey. That time, when I train to express as per my capacity for expansion. I do not want to regret it. Let's build my future together.
